Is actually a cat
1. Taxonomies Made:
- Outdoor Types (slug outdoor-type) into a Taxonomy for both Parks & Trails. For reference this is where they select if it’s a state, local, county, etc park. Removed the custom field of Type from individual Park CPT, it wasn’t under trails.
- Ages (slug age) for events and businesses CPT that way things can be filtered if needed by age group i.e. PreK, School Age, etc…
- Payment (slug payment) using on CPT businesses, events, parks, trails
2. Custom Fields – I made sure wherever I could I used the same custom fields like COST in both parks and trails seperfield field groups..
4. Contact Filed Group:
- Removed the Map Link from contacts field group and just have the address become an auto populated link. IF possible and not a bunch of work, the popup of selecting where/how you’re opening those directions i.e. apple maps, google maps is a cool feature but not something I’m necessarily interested in paying a bunch for right now.
- Hours – So I was going to do the hours differently for parks/trails and then businesses. Businesses should be listed by day, so people can put time next to Monday, Tuesday, Wed, Thurs Etc but with parks it’s seasonal or just dawn to dusk which changes by season which is why it was just a text area… thoughts?
- Address – So for businesses and even events that are service based or online only the address field is null and void which means we shouldn’t require it, basically if they dont put in an address they don’t get on the “nearby” part of the website
- Is there a way for a service type business to list only city & state?
- Social Links – For Events I’m hoping we can clarify that its not social links to the business but to the social links where the event is being promoted… if that makes a difference…
- Hours of Operation also needs to be rethought and removed as its not applicable for Events.
5. Events –
- Can “Venues” or “Location” be removed since we can add the address via Toolset? I don’t see a way to just deactivate it in settings.
- Added Taxonmity Ages & Payments – Removed Additional Field setting within Event Cal Pro
- Made Event Post Field Group to include
- Downloadable Map (used from parks & trails)
- Public Toilets (new)
- Toilet Description (new & conditions set – I think to only show up if they select yes for public toilets)
- Event Food Drink (new)
- Venue Setting (new)
- Venue Parking (new)
- I ALSO now see that glitch you’re seeing where for example the event titled event addage is the name of all the events, but once as I refresh it back to different names..
- https://itsnearbynearby.com/events/community/add/ – None of the toolset taxonomies, custom fields etc are shown on the front end for user submission.
